Account Registration
Overview: New accounts must be registered to access email protection features. This process involves entering personal details and setting up login credentials.
Registration Process
- Access the Registration Page: Navigate to the Register New Account page from the system's homepage.

Complete the Registration Form:
- Email Address: Enter a valid email.
- Password: Choose a secure password.
- First Name and Last Name: Enter your personal information.
- Click Register to create your account.
- Post-Registration: After registration, log in with your new credentials to access the dashboard.
Mail Account Connection
Setting Up Mail Connection
- Navigate to Account Connections: Access this through the dashboard.

Configure Mail Connection:
- Enter your Tenant ID, Client ID, and Client Secret.
- Click Create Connection to establish a connection with the Microsoft Graph API.
- Verify Connection: Ensure the connection details are correctly listed under Mail Account Connections.

Manually Add to Safe Senders
- Access Mail Rules: Go to the Scan Email and Setup Protection tab.
- Add Email: Click Manually Add Email Address, enter your details, and select Safe Senders List.
- Confirm Addition: Review the confirmation dialog and confirm the addition.
Scanning and Managing Email Rules
Initiating Email Scan
- Select Time Frame: Choose how far back the emails should be retrieved from the Include Archive dropdown.
- Start Scan: Click Scan Email. If the system detects a large number of items, a Processing status will appear, indicating the system is loading the emails.

Managing Rules:
- Review Emails: Emails will be displayed with status icons indicating whether they are whitelisted, blocked, or pending.

Update Status:
- Whitelist/Block: Click the corresponding icon to change the status of the email.
- Confirm Actions: A confirmation dialog appears to verify changes.
- Visual Badges: Identify the type of sender (corporate, personal, etc.) using badges next to the email addresses.
Configuring Email Digest Preferences
Setting Preferences
- Digest Time: Set the preferred time to receive the daily email digest summarizing quarantined items.
- Time Zone: Choose the applicable time zone for accurate scheduling.
- Enable Daily Digest: Opt in to receive daily summaries, even if no new items have been quarantined.
- Send Digest Even When Empty: Choose to receive the digest even when there are no new quarantined emails.
- Enable Real-time Notifications: For immediate updates, enable notifications to be sent soon after emails are quarantined.
- Save Preferences: Click to save your settings.
- Generating a Digest Manually: Click Generate Latest Digest to manually trigger the sending of the most recent digest according to the defined settings.
Configuring Protection Settings
Setting Protection Options
- Enable Auto Purge Emails Older Than 30 Days: Check this to automatically delete emails older than 30 days.
- Enable Junk Folder Management: Check this to allow the system to automatically manage emails in the junk/spam folder.
- Save Settings: Click to apply your configuration changes.

Manual Email Management Actions:
- Run Manual Purge Now: Click to immediately purge emails based on your purge settings.
- Clean Junk Folder Now: Click to manually clear out the junk/spam folder.
System Protection and Background Operations
Overview: Once configured, the Email Protection System operates continuously in the background to ensure robust security and efficient management of emails. This automated process includes real-time scanning, quarantine management, and notification systems that work seamlessly to provide a secure email environment.
Key Features:
- Quarantine Management: Emails flagged by security rules are automatically moved to the quarantine folder.
- Real-Time Security Scanning: Includes virus scanning of attachments, DKIM and SPF validation, and URL isolation and rewriting.
- Email Digest and Notifications: Scheduled daily digests and real-time notifications keep you informed about quarantined emails.
- Automated Email Management: Features like auto purge and junk folder management help maintain a clean and organized email environment.
- Identity Verification: Integration with Plaid enhances security by verifying the identities of personal email senders.
